Encouraging More Use Of Biodiesel Across Missouri

For over 30 years, biodiesel has provided a significant boost to the value of soybeans grown in Missouri, but only one out of every three gallons produced in the state stays here.  In fact, several counties which have the greatest concentration of soybean acres lack the infrastructure to distribute the renewable fuel.  Matt Amick, director of biofuels and new uses with Missouri Soybeans, says efforts are underway to address the disconnect.

Amick says increasing biodiesel availability also comes down to more distributors and consumers demanding the fuel.

Matt Amick of Missouri Soybeans reminds drivers to check the Biodiesel Coalition of Missouri website for a map of retailers and distributors around the state that have biodiesel available.
