Milan FFA Outsmarts Competition In Knowledge Contest

Four Milan FFA members took home the top prize in the junior quiz competition, which took place last month ahead of the 96th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.  All four members of the team placed in the top ten individually, led by Gracie Simpson in second.  She explains how the team prepared for each step of the contest.

Teammate Lexus Fordyce ranked third, followed by Addison Sylvester in fifth and Hayden Courtney in seventh.  Courtney says the competition helped prepare him and his teammates for their future projects and contests in FFA.

Adviser Jarred Sayre says the team, which placed first at every stage of the competition, has set an example for everyone with the chapter.

Milan scored 35 more points than second-place Gillette, Wyo., to win the contest.  The annual competition is administered by Tarleton State University of Texas.
