The Missouri Department of Agriculture marked Buy Missouri Day on Wednesday by announcing matching grants for 13 retailers that carry products grown or produced in the state. The $1000 grants will reimburse retailers for expenses associated with promoting products made by members of the department’s Missouri Grown USA program. Qualifying retailers must sell products from at least five Missouri Grown members. This year’s grant recipients range from single locations to regional grocery store chains. The grants are intended to help raise awareness about the products grown, raised, and produced within Missouri, while promoting agriculture.
