WTAMU Horse Judging Wins Two National Championships

In recent weeks, West Texas A&M University’s Horse Judging Team has won two national championships at the National Reining Championship and the American Quarter Horse Association World Championships.

At the National Reining Championships, WT beat out 15 teams across the nation. Marty Kasch, Jr. Prevet Major, was ranked number 1, Anna Wilhelm 3rd, Jennica Dannehl 7th, Lauren Harris 8th, and Trenton Hammerand 11th.

In OKC for the AQHA World Championships, WTAMU placed 1st over 19 teams. Wilhelm ranked 4th highest individual, Hammerand was 5th, Kasch was 6th, and Harris was 11th overall.

Other members of the team include Anya Katz, Shanna Marquart, and Jillian Melendez.
