Common Challenges For Producers Implementing Multi-Species Grazing Practices
Cattle producers in the state are considering new income sources through the addition of sheep and goats to their grazing rotation. Of course, the move isn’t without its challenges. University of Missouri Extension small ruminant specialist Dr David Brown explained some of those common hurdles during a workshop on multi-species grazing hosted last week in Clinton.
Brown adds that producers also need to consider access to water and the variety of forage in each of their enclosures.
