Parson Lauds FFA In Appearance At State Convention

Gov. Mike Parson delivered keynote remarks to over 10,000 FFA members and supporters Friday afternoon during the fifth and final session of the 96th Missouri FFA Convention.  Parson spoke to Regional Radio backstage following his address and expressed appreciation for FFA’s role in Missouri schools.

Parson reflected on his youth growing up on his family’s Hickory County farm, and stressed during his remarks the importance of hard work.

Parson also commended the state’s rural districts for their continued support of agriculture education and the role they take in prepare the next generation of ag leaders.

After his speech at the 96th Missouri FFA Convention in Columbia, Gov. Mike Parson was presented with an honorary state degree by the outgoing Missouri FFA officer team.
