Schwieter Rides To FFA State Star In Agribusiness
Branching out from the family business, Crayton Schwieter rode his lifelong love for horses toward this year’s State Star in Agribusiness. The South Shelby FFA member picked up his prize Friday night during the final session of the 96th Missouri FFA Convention. He tells Regional Radio that one of the most important skills he learned from raising and marketing horses is working with not just the horses, but also people.
Schwieter also established his own hauling operation to transport horses to customers. He’ll continue his operations in-between classes this fall at North Central Missouri College in Trenton, as well as preparing his application for the American Star Awards at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.
