Soybean Festival Seeking $100k Top Prize In Cenex Contest

A Northern Missouri festival is a finalist for a $100,000 prize from Cenex, and they’re looking for the public’s help.  The Norborne Soybean Festival is competing against town fairs from Minnesota and Wisconsin in this year’s Hometown Throwdown.  Committee member Kyle Durham explains how Norborne made it to the top three.

Durham says he hopes Missourians will show support for Norborne by voting on the contest’s website.  He adds that the annual gathering in early August is a celebration of all things agriculture, not just the local community.

The public has until May 15th to cast their vote.  Kyle Durham of the Norborne Soybean Festival says as a finalist, the event has already won $25,000.
