Expanded Missouri FFA Convention Schedule Allows For Two New Awards
Missouri FFA’s decision to start their state convention a day earlier means the general sessions on Thursday will include opportunities to recognize more award winners. State executive secretary Teresa Briscoe says the second general session Thursday afternoon will recognize the top exhibitors of the agriscience fair.
A new award recognizing the state’s top advisers will debut during the third general session Thursday evening, called the Golden Owl Award.
The Golden Owl Award winner will receive $3000 from sponsors Nationwide Insurance, while finalists will receive $500 each. Missouri FFA executive secretary Teresa Briscoe notes that this year’s convention will have a new official photographer, Whitney Whitaker.
